The difference between ecation in China and America
Everyone must be ecated, that is the basic ty of a good citizen. However, different environments involve different ecation. I was born in China. My cousin was born in America. We recently had a discussion about the difference between ecation in China and America. As a matter of fact, our discussion can be classified in three principal ways: the attitude of parents, the method of school, and the objective of ecation.
The first point of discussion was the attitude of parents. In China, when children’s exams are not as good as their parents hoped, most parents criticize and intimidate their children: If the next exam has the same result as this exam, children will lose some of their favorite things, such as their computer, mp3 player, or even their precious basketball. This is terrible for children. Children would be mad at their parents in this bad situation but their parents tend not to care. This mortifies children. In America, when children fail their exams, most parents encourage and inspire their children. Failure is inevitable for success. They will do better than before because of this encouragement.
Another discussion point is the method of school. In China, students have fewer courses. They can do better than students of other countries in these courses, but Chinese students lack the knowledge and creativity of foreign students. However, in America, students have a lot of courses which can broaden their horizons. They have broader knowledge in certain fields of study than Chinese students, such as philosophy and the arts, but they are not better at math than Chinese students. Chinese students lack a certain amount of ecational freedom which Americans enjoy.
Finally, the two different ecation systems have two different kinds of objectives. In China, people believe that going to school and graating from college is only for the diploma. When students graate from college, the diploma is most important for finding a job. In America, students go to school not only to obtain a diploma, but to also gain other types of knowledge by taking many different courses. They strive to find their unique potential in life, so they can decide what job they want to have in the future.
In the end, my cousin and I knew that the advantages and disadvantages of different ecation systems between China and America. Chinese students can do better at few courses than American students. But their ecation is Exam-oriented, which will fall into disuse as time goes by. American ecation is flexible, which can be approved by a great majority of people. Consequently, I and my cousin agreed that American ecation is better.

Currently,more and more students from university whose often later for class,leave earlyfore class or stay away from home. That is a phenomenon that we often to know.It is important for university ecation to guarantee the students go to class on rules.
I think as a university student how can we do at school's rules.i have someyhing to say.
First of all,laterfor class.Whenthe tescher behining class,and all the students concentratelearning,Suddly everything stop,ecause of you,i think it's very propriety and you must feel embarrass,and also you destory the sttention of all.When all the things reins,it must waste some times.
In mddition,leave early. If you don't like this class.you can do other things. My Views on Ecation
From birth until the age of formal learning, children can learn naturally and instinctively. They observe the real world around them. They explore; they try; they persevere; and they develop — all that are attracted by their own interests and at their own indivial paces. Their achievements are spectacular. Though they always need others’ help, they are doing their own learning, pursuing what they need and what interests them.
When children are graally growing up, however, they strangely find they cannot afford to learn what they want. They must have a grasp of some boring but required subjects (which are probably soon lost) just to pass the examination or to get a degree. Sometimes they do the scientific research only for their fame or the real benefits they can get.
So it is concerning a simple but abstract problem — what is the purpose of ecation?
Ideally, ecation, more exactly, learning is for pleasure. The true learning in my mind will help one neither to get a degree nor to earn one’s living, it will not teach one to operate a computer or sail a boat, but it will help one to live more fully. However, it cannot be done unless one enjoys learning. And in fact, if one is able to see or feel a need for something; if one has a personal interest in something; or if one just wants the challenge, if one is willing to learn actively, he will learn perfectly. From these points of view, children spend far more of their lives outside the 'real world', so their motivation is intrinsic and the learning itself, actually means something absorbing.
But unfortunately, the previous argument is too ideal to exist. Because the world has really turned very materialistic over the years, people are afraid to go back to the basics, to the simplicity. The grown-ups in the real world have much to consider so that ecation, which partly decides their future position or fate, is becoming complicated. Under these circumstances for them the aim of ecation should be valuable to the whole society. Everyone must be ecated to fit him for life. But with the material civilization playing a more and more important role, there has been some popular phenomenon. For example, just in our city, we find a far larger number of people with university degrees than there are jobs for them to fill. Because of their degree, they refused to do what they think “low” jobs. In fact, work with hands is thought to be dirty and shameful. And how absurd it is! If no one wants to be a servant because nobody is willing to do such work, the professors have to waste much of their time doing housework. So the real meaning of valuable ecation should be that, firstly, each one can do whatever job is suited to his brain and ability. Not every one is designed to become a scientist or an engineer. Secondly, that all jobs are necessary to society, and that it is very bad to be unwilling to do one’s work, or to laugh at someone else’s.
Finally, I want to quote the remarks of Newton to end my article. “I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore. I have amused myself by now and then finding a smooth pebble or a pretty shell, but the great ocean of truth still lies before me unknown and unexplored.”
