清代蒲松龄小说集《聊斋志异》，已有英、法、德、保、匈、波、爱沙尼亚、丹麦等 20多种文字译本 。 1784年，《聊斋志异》传入日本，书名为《艳情异史》，意大利文译成《老虎 作客》，英文译成《人妖之恋》。清代李汝珍小说《镜花缘》，俄译本名是《镜 子里的姻缘》。最令人啼笑皆非的是小说《庄子休妻鼓盆成大道》的译作，翻译者竟把它译成《不忠诚的鳏夫》，恰与原意相反，读后使人感到茫然。

金庸（1924年3月10日—2018年10月30日），本名查良镛，生于浙江省嘉兴市海宁市，1948年移居香港。当代武侠小说作家、新闻学家、企业家、政治评论家、社会活动家，被誉为“香港四大才子”之一。
1944年，金庸考入重庆中央政治大学外交系。1946年秋，进入上海《大公报》任国际电讯翻译。1948年，毕业于上海东吴大学法学院，并被调往《大公报》香港分社 。
